New Albany-Plain Local Schools has setup a Managed School Apple ID for students that will give them 200 GB of iCloud storage.  This will allow students to save files in iCloud and backup their devices.  This Apple ID cannot be used in the iTunes or App Stores.  The Managed School Apple ID used by students uses their regular school email address and password.


Sign In

  • Apple ID = School NAPLS Email
    • All student & teacher iPads or Macs should be using their NAPLS accounts.
    • This is located in System Settings under your Apple ID.
    • Password = first initial / PowerSchool # / last initial
    • Example:  k238471j
  • Google Accounts= School Email
  • Classlink = Sign into New Albany - may require back button to locate New Albany Schools
  • Notability App : Back Up - Google Drive & iCloud (7-12th ON) (4-8th OFF)
  • Procreate Settings: System Settings turn on iCloud


High School Profiles

    • School Profile = 7:00am-3:00pm
      • School Apple ID Profile = School email address
      • iPad will only show School approved Apps & Settings
    • Private Profile = 3:00pm - 7:00am 
      • App Store can be accessed with a Private Apple ID
      • Manage your own purchases
      • Self-Purchased Apps will be hidden during School Profile hours.









  1. Setting up Apple Mail to sync with your Gmail account
  2. Go to Settings > Mail, then tap Accounts.
  3. Tap Add Account, then select your email provider.
  4. Enter your email address and password.
  5. If you see Next, tap Next and wait for Mail to verify your account.
  6. If you see Save, tap Save.
